Hello.
I'm having a problem with coreldraw X5 on vista 64. It crashes when creating new document. I'm getting Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library window with and error stating: "This application requested runtime to close in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." It happens every time. The only way to create a new document without crashing corel is with "New from template" which ends with empty window, all tools grayed out, and program totally unresponsive, but not crashing - windows thinks everything is A-Ok.
Im running Vista 64 on Core2Quad with 8gb ram.
Hello marcinwuu; I have X4 and X6 32 bit running on a 32 bit Vista computer with no problems for years. You may try resetting Corel by holding down the F8 key while starting Corel, or putting the DVD in and doing a Repair. They both will reset the page layout to a first install.
Good Luck, George
It's a fresh install. It was installed from both dvd and downloadable tryout. X4 runs smoothly on the same machine.
I THINK you should try the RESET. Also there is NO X5 Trial any longer. Only X7.
George
Also marcinwuu; Also Where did you get the ver. you are using?
I'm sorry, I didn't make myself clear.
We already tried installing x5 back in the day it was new and hot on this machine. It didn't work back then. Now we're upgrading all of our licenses to post-x4 for colour output consistency, and this is the last machine. I don't have a free x6 license, and x7 doesn't work on vista. And x5 still doesn't work, even though in the meantime system was reinstalled. Also, I tried the F8 settings reset already. It didn't work. The version I'm trying to use I got at the local software retailer, DeltaSoft, just as all the twenty or so others.
