I can't get CorelDraw to open on my PC at all
It will not let me uninstall it and no matter how far back I go with system restore it has no effect.
When I try to open corel a box pops up with
Key:"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\" Value:"ConfigDir" not found in registry
So I click on OK and get
The base UI Language directory is invalid
Click OK
This goes on a few time until finally I get
Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files..................
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information

I can't remove the program and It will not let me repair the program from the disk so I feel helpless

When I try to un-install corel I get the message
The patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer patch package
We've seen that problem too. The problem is that the language pack is not installed correctly or not installed at all. A quick fix is to just re-install the language pack. Assuming that you want english, you would execute this comand from your CD:
CE-Drive:\Disk1\CGS13\en.msi
There are no responses to this install, it just re-installes the language pack for English. For other languages choose the appropriate msi. These are generally named two characters + .msi, e.g. French = fr.msi and spannish is es.msi.
I have managed to get coreldraw to unstall on my computer now but I still have a problem
The problem I have now is when I try to Edit Bitmap in corel draw it will not open Photo paint but brings iop the error message 'Failed to create object. Make sure the object is entered in the system registry'
But at least I am making money again
Same error messages when using Windows Explorer (!), but command above not workable with Corel Draw 6 Disk (also, I'm unclear what "CE-Drive" is--typo for CD Drive?). WinXP SP3.

Put the CD into the drive and do a "Repair" of the installation. This should re-register PhotoPaint to be the bitmap editor, when you are in CorelDRAW.
