Captain America

Well, right now I am in the middle of trying to draw the Hulk. Not coming out that well, I'm afraid. But if it works out, I hope to draw Thor, and then gather all the existing Avengers and combine them into one poster...WITH background. So basically, consider this one piece of a much larger project.

I agree with Adian and the others with the background. What about an explosion or similar pyro effects? would be a good contrast and helps the character to stand out, maintaining the dramatic impact. I agree with the others, a dark background would definitely make the character pop.

No, it's not right.I have to fix it. That is one thing I hate about Corel. When you try to fix something and regroup it, things go out of order.

Ken, Great work! The best I've seen created by your skilled hands. The chest belts seems to be different: one lays under the shoulder armor, the other above. Is that right?

Hey, you were right about the neck. I fixed it. Sometimes when I draw something and do a blend, I'll forget to put the different color right on top of the bottom layer. Then when I group it, it brings the bottom, or back layer to the front, thus the neck in front of the chin. Thanks for pointing out the error. That was wrong to not see it.

But I still rather have him without a background until I maybe come up with the other Avengers, combine them and then do a background that ties them all together. As I said, an artistic decision I made...and being the artist, there is no wrong in this argument...LOL.

Sorry, but I think I've just missed something here: I think part of his neck has cut part of his lower jaw.

As for the background, You can just create a rectangle behind him with a dark blue gradient and a pale yellow edge at the bottom to simulate an early dawn. The bottom edge of the rectangle can be placed just below his heel, and you can place another rectangle with a brown shade to simualte soil.

Thanks for the suggestion, Sonny, but was a tough job to begin with and I was surprised with the result. I felt on an artistic level that a background would take away from the subject. An artistic decision on my part.

Impressive attention to detail. All it needs now is a dramatic background.
