The Ralph Mcquarrie Darth Vader. Darth Vader is my favorite, ultimate movie or TV villain. It used to be the Wicked Witch of the West growing up, but after the Empire Strikes Back, I realized how COOL Vader was. Anyway, this is a pic I drew based on a helmet sculpt for sale. It is based on concept art done by Ralph Mcquarrie. It obviously IS Vader, looks a lot like him, but it seems to have a more angry, evil look. More devilish. Lots of exaggerated features and some other graphics on the cheeks and in the grill. They have put out a concept art version of the droid, I wonder if there is an action figure based on this version of Vader. But a fun draw for sure. I don't only draw to have a pic of my subject. I also draw to learn about it. Once drawn, I know more of the physical appearance of the subject and I was thrilled to learn what I could on this guy.
