This is the Phaser Rifle. It was used in only one episode of the classic Star Trek, the second pilot. I always thought it a cool idea for more firepower, why it was never used again is beyond me. They ended up using phaser rifles in later incarnations of Trek, so go figure. But I always admired the design and here it is.
