This is my tribute to the AMT USS Enterprise, a model which I have built numerous times over my growing up. The second issue of this kit included lights and a photograph of the finished model on the cover, which AMT continued to use until the nineties. I drew this based on that photograph, and tried to duplicate the lit up nacell caps that the photo had, as well as the lit upper and lower sensor arrays. This model was highly innacurate including a very large and extnded deflector dish in the front, which I tried to duplicate here as well. In the nineties, AMT dumped this photo for a painting. Recently they reissued the kit but in the very first box art. So this may be lost forever.
