Is Shape.StaticID property unique within a CorelDraw file?

Hello,

I have a small VBA application that is dependent on the uniqueness of Shape.StaticID property (according to CorelDraw documentation this property is unique for each shape in a drawing). The application worked perfectly until I encountered a number of files where several different shapes have the same StaticID value. How is this possible? Has anyone else encountered the same?

The StaticID is only unique per document. Shapes in another document could have the same StaticID. If you import one document into another the StaticIDs of the imported shapes will change so that there are no conflicts.

Thanks for your reply.
The strange thing is that I have a CorelDraw document where several shapes have the same value of StaticID property. They are all located on the same sheet. Because of this, my application does not work on this drawing. I have assumed that this is an isolated issue caused by some bug during drawing preparation, but it's a bit annoying to see this. If you are interested, I can share this drawing privately with you.
