Sometimes you see an image and get inspired to use the same colors for your own illustration. Drag and drop the image into Corel PHOTO-PAINT. Then, select the image object in the Objects docker. Drag the object from the image window to the Image palette. In the Add Colors From Bitmap dialog box, specify the amount of colors to add, and then click OK.

Another way of doing it is to use the Eyedropper tool from the Image palette and click to select colors from the image. As you click, colors will automatically be added to the Image palette. When finished, save the customized palette by clicking the Image pallette menu arrow, and then choosing Palette > Save as.
