This tip works on following tools: Rectangle, 3-Point Rectangle, Ellipse, 3-Point Ellipse, Polygon, Star, Complex Star, Graph Paper, Spiral, Basic Shapes, Arrow Shapes, Flowchart Shapes, Banner Shapes and Callout Shapes.

Start creating an object from any of the tools in the list above. While creating the object, click & hold the right mouse button and you can now place object anywhere on the page you want.  Release the right mouse button and continue creating the object at the new position.
