Muts: wowoooow, a rip off??
1. I never saw your post before in my life. And if you look carefully at your and my posts, you ll see that we even have different approaches to drawing the ribbon, as you are fitting the side curly parts to the rectangle which is the main part of the banner, and I dont even have one. SO your idea is basically to fit the banner to the text, when mine is to fit the text into the banner.
2. What I am talking about in the tutorial is the basic feature of the extrude tool, and you are not the founder and copyrighter of this feature, and Hedrik is absolutely right: if you are more or less aware of the tools you will use Extrude tool to draw the banner.
3. Have a look:

demiart.ru/.../index.php
demiart.ru/.../index.php (the same in illustrator, they ripped off your idea too?)
www.bookillustration.org.uk/.../3d-ribbons-in-illustrator.htm
It is possible to develop similar techniques without previous knowledge of other works. If I were to create a banner, I would have started with the extrude as well, it is not a leap (i.e. if you figured out a way to do it, other people will too).
baloney...I found direct rip offs of my site posted on other message boards yours is all to similar...though I do not mind either way give credit....
Muts, well yeah, extrude tool is used in the same way, this isn't the newest thing invented. This basically is the main function of this tool.
And if you google 'extrude tool coreldraw' you'll find plenty of more or less the same results, even much older than the one you gave, so the digital-graphica can't be named the original one either.
This tutorial, however, contains many other tips, that migh tbe useful in creating banners.
here's the original....

credit where credit is do my friend.
Thank you Hendrik:)
Very well done!
