Memory Lane Billboard - Lexington, IL

We were hired to take a look at an existing billboard with a different design.  The Billboard was old, dated and dilapidated.  It was on a stretch of Old Rt 66 that they call "Memory Lane".  For those that aren't familiar with Rt. 66, it was always changing.  At one point they rerouted Rt 66 through a different part of Lexington, closing this stretch of 66 down and it went unused for years, until in the last decade or two where they reopened it, calling it "Memory Lane".  At this point it became a little tourist attraction for the town of Lexington.

We were hired by the town of to come up with a new design and paint it on .080 aluminum.  The cars in the design belong to an alderman of Lexington and one of his friends. We were inspired by old advertisements and designs from that period.
