I took a break from the ray guns today and cranked out this one. This is a reproduction of the 1950's Tin Lanter Robot. I hear to find one in halfways decent shape, and original, can cost you over $7,000. This one was fifty and brand new. I am unfamiliar with the original, but if it was as good as this one, it was a cool toy for the time. It's funny when you buy these today. These were sold for ages four and up back in the day. Now on the boxes they are labled ADULT COLLECTABLE, NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER TWELVE. Yeah, nothing like reading all those horrible news stories from the fifites about all the child deaths due to lanter robots toys...Get real. We are too careful these days.
