How to transfer corel essentials 2 files to newer laptop....

thanks George, I guess i didnt explain question very well lol, I have already installed the corel program on newer laptop with no issues. It's the actual files I'm having problems with. Unfortunately it's 500+ files I want to transfer!! I have figured out that I am going to have to convert some images to curves due to the font limitations and such. AGHH lots of screen time in my future!! but still having problems with opening some files on new laptop.

If your laptop has a CD/DVD drive, just make a copy of the files on a DVD disk and then copy them to your laptop.
If your laptop does not have a CD/DVD drive, you will have to get some form of external drive to plug into a USB port.
I happen to use the Seagate 5 Tbyte hard drive. It's $150 at Best Buy.

It's a good idea to back up everything to an external hard drive. That includes the entire C drive. The operating system plus programs require an "IMAGE" to be made on the external drive. I happen to use Macrium to make an IMAGE of all programs.

It comes in very handy dandy when the operating system gets its feet tangled. No need to spend days troubleshooting. Just restore from the IMAGE.
