Why, why, why?????

Why would CD X7 work like it is supposed to for a week, and then revert back doing what it was doing? Like, slooww to open a document, copy and to use the pick tool. I have emptied the temp. files cleaned the registry, etc. It was running great until this afternoon, now slow as Molasses....again. I'am obviously not the only one with this problem as there are many threads on the subject, so I don't think it can be computer related, can it? I'm all ears, give me some suggestions please.

Hi Mike,
I solved all X7 problems by dropping back to X6.
It's rock solid.

Any Windows updates, done or not done? Any other things done to the system?

Now David nothing else done to computer, going to add more memory to it, and see if that helps.

I would run Malwarebytes first, then make sure ALL WINDOWS updates are done first. Seems like something happened that's not Corel related. How do you have FontNavigator setup? To load fonts when you open a file?

Well David I had wayyy to many fonts on this system 2200+, down to about 450 in CD now, but I'm going to install more memory tomorrow, so that should (I hope) solve my problem with opening a document and slow to copy issue and get back to normal, I hope. I have always read that to many fonts bog the computer down, and now I know. But i was using X3 and Flexi and they open rather quickly. But obviously they are not the same, as CD X7, Flexi is a 8.6v2 so I'll keep my fingers crossed! Still not sure how to use the Font Navigator, but I'll get it.
