Software out of date

Hello, I hope this isn't the wrong place to ask this but since my product is outdated I'm not sure how to get help. I tried to install CoralDRAW Graphics Suite11 on a new PC today (Windows 7, 64 bit). My software was originally installed on a 32 bit PC (running Windows XPPRO). I installed the CD but when I went to use it it crashed. It's apparently not going to run on the new system. Does anyone know if there's an upgrade for my software?

Hello Joanne13; This is not the wrong place!!! To run run a older program on your computer you need at least Windows PRO. with the XP mode downloaded from MS and installed. Then go into the XP portion and install it. The most problems people have is not having Pro, or Utl ver. of Windows.

Hey George... just realized I hadn’t written back to you.

You mean I can install my old XPPRO on my current PC (running Windows7) and just install the software onto that system? I hadn’t even thought about doing so and that’s a great idea. But, would I have to install the ENTIRE system (XPPRO) to make it work. That would take up a lot of space on my PC. And would I need to do a ‘partition’ or something? I don’t really know how to set up a partition.

Hi Joanne,

No partition. Instead you use a virtual box. In windows 7 PRO 64 bit, you have a virtual hard drive, onto this one, yes, you install the entire win XP operating system.

Picture Te Virtual box as a program in itself, which is a closed area, with its own icon on your computer. When you click the icon, you will have a floating dialog window, which can be a small one or take up the entire screen. And install CorelDRAW 11 like normal, attention : from inside the virtual box.
