Corel has done good here.
I am NOW a full believer of the Corel Font Manager. Be it even v2017 (I skipped v2018), v2019 and now v2020!
I am using v2020 on a Surface Pro 6, but X7 still on the main workstations for now until further testing of CorelDraw 2020 itself before moving fully over. But again, I am believer in Corel Font Manager 2020. It just works without having to think to much about it after initial setup of "watched" or "hot" folders/libraries.
The Splash Screen isn;t too shabby either!!!! (cannot say that for the CorelDraw DRAW program though... that's just over the top!
Do you keep you fonts on the local machine?
Yes, so no network lag etc. Hot folders wouldn't be ideal over network. But all the same library of fonts on server also that get replicated to new workstations.
Access over a network can be awful. However if like me you have zero tolerance for lag time. Turn off use font for display and I set CFM in Draw to only see system and local installed fonts. I then use CFM as a standard font manager and view through CFM.
Agree, good deal David.
