color separation

Hello,

This is my first post - I am new to Corel.  I have been working hard trying to learn the software but can't figure out to auto seperate colors into different layers - I have been selecting each curve, text, etc. and moving them into their layer manually :-(

Any suggested books or dvds to help me master corel would be great too.

thanks

  • Once you learn the basics of Corel, you might want to look at Steve
Yates Vector Seps. This can all be done manually but his program makes
it much easier when your designs become more complicated.

I suggest you start learning to do things manually first, then you'll
understand how to design for your seps. Try hanging out at
gigposters.com for tons of info on flatstock printing. There are
hundreds of DIY printers on that forum who are willing to hand out tips.
Most are Adobe-centric so they won't be able to help with Corel
questions but the amount of information about seps, inks, screen angles,
    etc. is endless.
