I have CorelDRAW Essentials 4. When opening a CDR file passing 1000KB it fails or it enters to Bidmaps where it is not possible to work on it.

Since Essentials 4 is based on X4, which is about 10 years old, I suspect you may be out of luck.....
Thank you. I know that it is old but it worked nice until recently. I assume that I changed some Parameter so that now when I open a file I cannot unbundle the drawing to work on it. The only possibility that the System offers instead is to create a Bitmap.

Is it all CDR files, or just one?
Have you tried the usual trouble-shooting sequence - repair; reinstall,start with F8?
