I have PSPx5 on Windows8 Toshiba laptop. Up until a few days ago, all worked well then I started getting a nag screen announcing PsPx6 or saying ‘Photo tip – late to bed early to rise’ and I could not get it to go away. Neither the X in the upper right corner nor the close button would get rid of it. The only way to get rid of it was to restart the computer. Anything I started in PSP that had not been saved was lost. Irritating. Is there a way to stop these nag screens? They seem to include hint screens devoid of hints. But the freezing continues and PSP X5 cannot be used. I have tried to contact Corel but cannot get through to them. Any suggestions?
Corel needs to make up its mind.
Either it sells products, and does not put user-hostile adverts in them, or it gives them away and funds them by these nauseating adverts.
Putting adverts in programs that have been paid for is nauseating and unacceptable. People do not pay money to be spammed like this.
But PSP is not photopaint and has its own forum at http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php?f=56
You would be better off posting this there.
Thanks for the direction to the PSPX5 forum. I believe I got the information I was looking for in that forum.
