I trying to slice some PNG images and have the resulting slices with a transparent background.
I know that in order to activate the slicing tool, you need to have an image and background. So I open my transparent image, create a white background. I can now slice my image. What I can't seem to figure out is how to save each of the slices so that they each have a transparent background. Whenever I export to web, the slices, they always carry the background color. I don't want a background.
Can anyone help??
Hello rfthomas; you can use the Trim Tool or use the Eraser to build your files also.

George, thanks for the quick response.
I guess I need to explain how I going to use the slices (why I using this method).
I have images of golf shoes, that I have to edit for use in a golf game. I need to divide (slice) the shoe into sections so that I can overlay them onto a template for the game. In order to prevent any unwanted background, I need to be able to manipulate the slices (distort, stretch etc) the slices to exactly overlay the template.
I hope that makes sense.
So, the bottom line is that I still need to know how to export the slices with a transparent background.
P.S. I can do this in Print Shop Pro X2, but would rather use PP since I'm more familiar with it and it also ties to Draw which I also need for this project.

Hmmmm, sorta....
I think the problem lies with the background that you mention. You don't need a background to save as a transparent png. Get rid of the background layer as shown here.
Then save each layer as a separate png file as shown here....
are exporting the slices out? If so you need to use png and rgb then you'll see the option to save transparency
