corel X5 is giving me out of memory error for a file as small as 66 mb. I am running on a machine with core 2 duo , 4 GB ram and paging file size set to auto. I have tried setting the paging size to very and low too but the same effect.
earlier I tried splitting the file and it helped for another file of 95 mb but this file it simply wont even save when i try to delete excess pages. I have tried deleting all temp files, closing other programs.
Apparently the problem is that when i checked the task manager, it showed corel using only 1.5 GB of memory when i have still a lot more. 1.5 GB seems to be the magic number where it crashes. the moment it comes to that size , it gives the error. How can i increase its memory size usage.
Is this a problem with the program or the file.
Have seen this "Out of memory" error in case any of the installed fonts is corrupted. In such case file splitting also may not work.When does the error occur in your case ? In my case it occured while trying to collect the file for output. Converting the text to curves sorted out the issue and also confirmed that some font was corrupted.
Hello Akshay; Try running a Registry Cleaner and see if that helps. There are a lot of free ones you can get off the net, I use Warp Registry Cleaner (http://www.nchsoftware.com/registry-cleaner/index.html ) and it does a good job for me, plus they have a good undelete program also. if that doesn't work make sure the ram is OK.

there're some reason for that message, such as too much saved views (Ctrl+F2), too much text&graphics styles (Ctrrl+F5), too mus color styles (Tools / color styles) and/or too musch installed fonts. Try to open the file on other computer using CorelDRAW X6, that discard automatically unused styles, or if you prefer, upload to free storage service (such as youtransfer.com, yousendit.com, gigasize.com, etc) and we will clean up the file.if this is the problem. btw a 66 Mb file shouldn't use more than 1.5 Gb of RAM
Do you have all the updates and hotfixes to CorelDraw X5? If not, it may be best to update the program.

I have finally been able to split the file into 3 parts of 25 mb, but I would also like to purge my file. So how do I send it to you 'Ariel'. Send me your email ID, and i will share the file on Higtail ( new name for yousendit)
