Dear Fellow Corel Draw users
I recently updated to Corel Draw service pack one (X5 suite). After this update the background color has changed into a light yellow when I try to export to jpeg format (see attached screen shot). In the matte color menu in the export window I have the option of changing this color. All colors are there except White! (or transparent). This is driving me nuts. I would just like to be able to export to jpeg with a White background. I have changed no settings, only installed service pack 1.
Have any of you experienced anything similar, or do you know how to get rid of the yellow background/matte? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am considering uninstalling Corel Draw, then reinstalling without installing the service pack.
Best regards
Johan
The yellow is likely to be a problem with the colour management settings.
But a possible alternative answer -- if the background is the only problem, maybe you can export to TIFF or PNG instead of JPG, and select the transparent background option. That option is not available when saving to JPG, because transparency is not part of the official JPG specification.
Pick white or whatever colour you require by opening up the "Matte:" palette by clicking the pick list indicated with the magenta arrow.
Somehow you must have changed it somewhere along the line.

Hi Terremoto
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this is my main problem: White is nowhere to be found in this menu. All other colors are there except White :-(
Hej harryLondon
Thank you for the advice. I have now tried to export to TIFF and PNG, but with the same result: When opening the exported file a yellow background is present. Interestingly this is also the case when I select "transparent" in the TIFF export window.... This is very strange.
At present I have not looked into the colour management settings. But I will try to locate these and let you know if I make any progress.
Hi Again.
Hmmm.... The problem has just been upgraded! I just tried to save a red circle on a White background using Windows Paint. Same thing happends. When I open the resulting jpeg-file the background is now yellow. So it is maybe a Windows-problem I am having? (Windows 7. 64 bit)
