Copy/paste, problem with pages

Actually, I made a test
- I drawn a square on layer 2, copied and pasted on layer 1: the original (layer2) is visible only on layer 2, the copy on layer 1 is visible everywhere
- I drawn a circle on layer 1, copied and pasted on layer 2: the copy (layer 2) is visible only on layer 2 but the original (layer1 ) is visible everywhere

Generally speaking, every object on layer 1 (original o copied) is visible everywhere....

I understand when you speak about a "master layer", but I'm pretty sure I didn't have such behaviour before....

BTW, maybe teh only solution will be to avoid drawing on layer 1 and start drawing from layer 2?

Well, I tried some other things....
Copying an object from layer 3 to layer 2 makes the pasted object visible on all the layers....
At this point, I odn't think it's a problem related to master layer or not master layer....
It has to be some feature I've acivated some way....
But in that case I need to switch it off..... Help.....

simple copy and paste will 'show" on all layers unless the the layer it is on is turned off. Under Object Manager docker hit the eyeball for the layer.

You're right. Last night I "played" with some option (your suggestion about the Master layer made the difference): I simply hided the master layer and that's it.
With your last reply you confirmed I've been right (an lucky)
