I believe that the default Arial font for Windows 7 - 64 bit is "Arial Unicode MS Regular".
I ran into pretty much the same thing. I thought I accidently deleted my (regular) Arial fonts. I did copy them over from another Windows 7 - 32 bit machine onto the Win 7 - 64 bit and I was good, then.
I also believe that my Win 7 - 64 lost the Arial fonts during an update, but I am not certain.....
The ariel font was replaced when win7 updated to service pack 1

CorelDRAW doesn't delete the Arial font (I use it all the time on different computers, under Windows 7 and XP), but perhaps you have a conflict between versions of the same font
