Hi,
I work as a teacher in a school. We recently bought CorelDraw Graphics Suite X6 and today i wanted to install it.
I have certificate with license key (consist of 4x 7 characters), software number and other. I downloaded X6 installer 64-bit in polish version and tried to install.
When i select option "I have a serial number or subscription code" and insert my License Key there i get information that "The serial number is invalid". Where's the problem ? I can't work with my students.
Description of software on certificate is: CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 Classroom Lic ML 15+1.
My operating systems are: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Greetings,
Mateusz Pańkowski
I guess you bought an Academic/Education version. These versions need an education version installer. You may have downloaded the Commercial version installer. AFAIK you get an installer DVD along with the license. Atleast it works that way in India.

Yes, code starts with DR16 and i typed it. I typed serial number as DR16XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX (with dashes between characters) and checked letter O and zero 0 for mistakes.

My school bought Corel X6 by auction way (some company as reseller) and probably its Education version (it must be). I just got License Certificate and no DVD installers. Is there a possibility to download educational version installer ?

That's kind of scary, especially if the company didn't uninstall their versions. It's always advised to only buy Draw from a verified reseller or Corel themselves. Hope it works out for you.
Yes thats scary. I remember this happened during X4. I think June 1, 2010 was the day when all pirated copies stopped working worldwide. Like Steve suggested, better to buy from authorised reseller or Corel themselves.

Your serial key for Academic versions should start with DR16Exx. I think you can order a installer DVD from Corel at some cost. However just an installer won't work if your serial keys are not legit. IMO your school should get in touch with the reseller from whom you bought the copies.

Resellers must participate in tender and then the best offer is choosen by school. We bought Corel form verified reseller and everything is legal. He did not used key which he sold us. Key starts with DR16Cxx. There is just one certificate which says ....Lic ML 15+1, so i understand key works for 16 copies (i have 15 students PC and 1 my notebook). What is "Effective Date" on certificate ?

I think in that case you need to ask the reseller to provide the install media that belongs with it. But it may depend exactly what was defined in the tender criteria. If the specification was only for an educational licence, then the specification was wrong and you may need to tender again to obtain the media.
In that case you may get help from the reseller. AFAIK, DR16Cxx is used for Multiple paper licenses (like the one you bought.)

"Effective Date"? There is no such mention about the effective date on any of the paper licenses that I have seen in India. Is there any chance you subscribed the licenses for some period. I think Corel has started renting out the software. In that case you have not bought it but have rented it for some period. This is just my guess, not sure about that.

Normally you should have a download link on the PDF of the license you received. Did you download the app from the same link or from the download section on the site ? BTW are other 15 machines running the app well with the supplied key ?
