Hi.
Contour on a bitmap shape.
I thought this was doable. Today I found it's not, or stopped working. Bug, or ideas?

Hello Johnl; For a LONG time I have had to manually apply a outline to a bitmap. Ver.11, X4 and now X6 wont do it. It sure would be nice if you could. The screen shot below is of a car window decal I did yesterday. Would you PLEASE look at this for maybe X7 Corel?
George
Hi George.
Weird, I really thought it was there. It must of been something else I was using, like a little create square behind macro.
I just updated my click It Contour and Shadow macro to handle bitmaps, as well as bitmaps and shapes together at the same time. It seems to work fine now.
Shoot me an email and I'll send you a free copy. You can be my tester.
John,
What about when someone uses the shape tool to to edit the shape of the bitmap?
Like this (didn't go around the entire car because of time):
The Workaround is to add a small vector object in the center of it (preferably behind). Select both the bitmap and vector object and apply a boundary with a fill.
This way you can add a contour that follows the reshaped bitmap using the boundary.
So the process is:
1. Reshape Bitmap using Shaping Tool2. Create small vector object in the center of that bitmap3. Select both Bitmap and Vector object4. Create boundary from the selection5. Fill Boundary and send to back6. Create Contour.
Hi Adrian.
Why do you need the extra shape?

You're right.
I'm getting old. Forgot you can create a boundary from a bitmap...
Hey John,
Does your macro work on reshaped bitmaps?
Yes. Shoot me that email...
