Hi to all.
I have the same problem I had with my installation of CorelDRAW X5 in my Windows 7 32bit laptop and is still present in CorelDRAW X6. When I try to open a CorelDRAW file from Windows Explorer, the program loads, and an error message pop up that says, "There was a problem sending the command to the program." and then the file will not open. This only happens opening the cdr file from the windows explorer and not running CorelDRAW. If I open CorelDRAW first and then go to windows explorer and double clic the file to open it, it has no problem an no error message pops out.
This is a clean installation of CorelDRAW X6, removed X5 completely, cleaned the registry and deleted the Corel folder in program files
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance...
This is my previous post about the issue: https://coreldraw.com/forums/p/29575/144233.aspx#144233
I also have this problem but it's not consistent. Sometimes they will open other times they won't but what I have noticed is that once Draw has been opened then I can open all files from explorer.
X5 & Windows 7
Unfortunately this is something with Windows....you will see that Office experiences the same issues.

As far I see, the problem is about speed. if the program take too much time to start, Windows dind't wait until the program starts. I don't know if we can specify how much time must Windows wait for the application, or if it's only a problema of speed when starts (ie too much installed fonts). It only happens the first time, since the next time is faster because the cache data increase the speed
Tanks for your answer, Ariel.
The problem was not present in CorelDRAW X5 in the same Windows machine, It began to appear after the Service Pack 2 or 3, and in X6 is the same. I dont think its speed, but I'll check the installed fonts (I have a lot). But still, the problem wasn't there even in X5 SP1.
No, I dont have this issue in Office. It opens office files from windows explorer just fine.
The only program having this issue is CorelDRAW.
