I'm having a problem with my Corel x6, every time I try to start the application it stucks for a minute or so on the splash screen and then I get error 1 (Try to restarting your computer and then restarting the program).
Please help me.

Is this a completely new installation, or has X6 been working previously?
I had Corel X5 previously, it worked fine until one day when I start getting some error (which I can't remember right now) and then I fully uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller and I installed X6.
Has X6 been working?
I suffered Error1 two weeks ago on X5 and it was a bad Windows update and failed system restore that caused it. I couldn't do anything about it as windows took away my admin rights so wouldn't allow me to un-install and reinstall Corel. Luckily windows did the update again after 5 days and everything went back to normal.
I never did find out what error 'Error1' actually referred too.
Hope someone else can be of more use.
If you know where to find the windows event log there could be useful information that appears there at about the time you try to launch the program. It will be in either the application or the system log.

Make sure the network is loaded. Did you block the program with your firewall?
