Here's the scenario. So Im working in a coreldrawX6 document and lets say I type up some words and make the text fill color as red, then save the document. Now I close out of this document and re-open it on another day. When I open this same exact file I no longer see my text, due to that its whited out and matches the white background. But since i know where in the art board i placed the text, i go ahead and click on it to see what color it is...
& this is what i get... This happens alot & not only with text but with closed-path objects. With text it seems to always substitute the color to match the white background. With objects it substitutes to a random color.
This has been going on for a while now and i thought that X6.2 would hopefully fix it but its still happening. Its just kind of annoying to have to change the color back to its original designated color choice each time.
Anyone else have this issue?
Hello vshvets; It sounds like the text is in back ( behind ) something, select the text and press the "Page UP" key, or go to "Arrange","Order and select one that will move it to the top.
My Thoughts George

An update can usually only fix that which has been reproduced and understood.
These are spot colours, I presume? So, it could also be that the spot colour palette has a problem. Perhaps you could upload a CDR file that you think exhibits the problem, so some of us here can check it out and see if we can reproduce it.
I have had this happen too. When I imported a multichannel TIF containing 2 spot colors. I applied one of the colors to some text, saved, and when opened the color of the text had changed to the same as the background but it is RGB not spot . Now I can't delete the new color since it is "in use in ther document" but it isn't.
The file seems to have stabilized now. Hope this doesn't blow up in my face before it goes to press. I think it is a corruption of the document palette.
Sign guy,
It definitely has nothing to do with the layers, Ive checked.
Here is a example: I just created this new file (File, New...) made all of this from scratch (meaning i didn't import any art or text).
(This is a screen shot of how it looked when i created it:
I closed the file, closed out of the Corel X6 Program & Restarted Corel X6. I re-opened the same file & this is what you see on the screen...
Solid Squares are all still colored in (which is unlikely, because sometimes it changes those PMS colors to a random different color like pick or orange or blue.... or it becomes clear).
Now on the Text, only the CMYK Text colors show up But not the PMS Text colors, they are hidden. Ive glanced at the layers & everything is in the same exact spot.
When you click on the hidden text, the fill is set to "None" and the stroke has a random "Density" thing going on as shown above (My original Post).
Here is the same file (once i re-opened it) in wireframe:
Its all there! I just don't understand why Corel hides the colors or replaces them randomly with another one(which is not shown in these pictures)...
I've deleted the color palate, thinking it was corrupt & re-created a new color palate multiple times.
Is it something with the Color Profile, the way im saving the document to begin with?
I work in a Graphics Design Field & its kind of critical for me to always have the "Right" Colors..............
Anyone Else have this issue? Any Fix?
I've tried uploading the .CDR file of the above pictures, but this forum wont allow it (says "file type not valid").
I can send it via email if your curious to check it out yourselves.
Any Fix?
