How do I put a graphic onto a solid colored shape?

I created a rectangle shape and then filled it with a solid color. I want to import a graphic on top of the background color. Every time I move the graphic onto the solid background, the graphic doesn't show up. What am I doing wrong?

Are you in Draw or PhotoPaint?

Anyhow, open the Object Manager docker and make sure the objects are stacked in the right order.
In Draw they may also be on different layers.

With your graphic where you would want it to be, select the rectangle (left-button click) and press Ctrl + Page Down and that should put your image above.
