Can not install updates for CorelDraw X6 because it thinks my corel email and serial number don't match.

The password is seven characters long, and logging into my account may indeed tell me that I didn't use this account to register this software, but even if it did, what would I do then? I could say "Yup, Corel's installer is not helping me figure this out".

Long ago when I gave money to Corel for software they were courteous enough to either not booby-trap it with copy protection, or when they did start doing that, they also provided support when it misfired. Am I to understand that all that is left now is, pay your money, get support on the forums?

Hello Warren; It will turn into a CDR reader where you won't be able to print with it, or use it for work after 30 days........You can try to register the program before that happens. There is a place where you can click to start a Screen Chat with someone who can help you......

Seven characters should be enough. There is an issue when the account password is less than six characters (which was possible in the past) and new versions of the suite won't accept it. Still possible to sign in via the site though and change the password. Anyway, that's not the problem here.

You say you can't find the suite under Registered Products?
Is it possible that you have used another email when you registered, and have two accounts?
Or maybe X6.0 never got properly registered by you?
The new system was introduced with X6.1 (if memory serves me) and X6.0 could work without signing in.

You do have a legit copy I hope? Even "genuine" copies bought on eBay (for example) can be pirated you know.

I bought it online on the Corel website with my credit card. I have since figured out I can ignore this error and continue and install the patch anyways. However the error message and giant "failure" dialog box is still confusing enough that I almost gave up.
