Creating best quality image for online use - Jpeg

That size seems extremely large dimensionally for web use. I personally prefer png files. They are a smaller file size and offer transparent background whereas jpg's will have the "white box". Web graphics are tricky. Always best to know exactly what size is needed as when using web design software and resizing any jpg's or png's can distort the image even further.

Just be sure that the pixel dimension values are what you want, after changing the dpi setting. Also, there are several controls available for compression. I like the 4:4:4 sub format.

If the final image looks good to you in an image viewing program like irfanview or acdsee etc. then all should be well.

3,000 x 850 seems very large for web viewing, but maybe there is some other purpose for the uploaded jpegs.
