I'm working on a complex document with a lot of text. It was first created with X5. When I opened it in X6, there was a bar near the top that asked to "update" the fonts. I indicated "yes". I worked on the document for about 4 hours, and then saved it and exited CorelDraw. Today when I first opened the document, the fonts are corrupted - capital letters where lowercase should be, spacing is random - some characters on top of others and some too far apart. I closed the document, re-booted my computer and reloaded the document. Now the there is still corruption, but it's different - different letters are capitalized and there are different spacing problems.
What can I do to fix this??

Follow Up: It appears that this problem occurs only with SmallCaps.
Bert the attached file has your text I got from the Zipped file and a copy converted to curves plus the text I tested. Like I said the text look fine when I opened it, but when you open the file if it's messed up you'll know it's something in your computer.

Hi George,
I see that you rasterized the text - so if I'm understanding you correctly, it opened fine on your computer.
One question - you mentioned you have v 6.1 - I'm not sure I have the same. My HELP | ABOUT indicates version 16.1.0.843. Can you confirm that this is the same version you're using?
Bert at the top left of my post you should see a "CDR" file that I posted and in it is your file you posted and a copy of it converted to curves. the ver. # is the same as I have ( 16.1.0.843 ) Harry is right about the 64 bit FN. A lot of us are using NexusFont, I like it better than FN, I do wish they would get the FN 64 bit fixed just for the font matching, Corel doesn't seem to do so well with out it and now that they don't have font embedding I spend a lot of time matching up fonts. But the font's you used where ok. What type of setup are you running? Mine is a i5 ( clocked to 3.7 gh ) 8 gb ddr 3, a 2 gb ddr 5 video casrd, and a old 20" CRT monitor, Windows 7 64 bit. Corel X6.1 runs well and I also have X4 loaded that works well also just a little slower. I don't use the OT fonts yet ( I had problems with them about a year ago and haven't tried them again.
<<What type of setup are you running?>>
My computer is an I7 (3.2ghz) with 12GB RAM - no overclocking, Win 7 64-bit, NVIDIA graphics card - I can't remember the model - which gets me wondering. I'm not sure if I have the latest driver, but I wonder if updating the video card driver might help - I'm away today, but will try tonight when I'm back.
BTW, I regularly purge my temp files.
Bert, other than what I said above the Windows 7 64 bit is Ult.. the mother board and the video card are "MSi" tje vido is a GTX 550 Ti ( PCI E )
Allright, so I spent the day trying to reproduce this issue and figure out what was going wrong. I think I found it.
It is a mystery why this affects 64bits more than 32bits but it can explain the problems you are seeing.
I'll try to get the fix in the next update.
In the mean time, you can try rebooting your system when you see this or maybe even just relaunching the app might do it. In all case, when I was seeing that, I was running a lot of applications. You can try to keep that to a miminum until this is fixed. Using the 32 bit version of DRAW might also help.
I'm sorry about the inconveniences this is causing you.
