Problem with CorelDRAW x6 output to laser engraver

We have the student version and under the tools menu, color management there is not a default setting.

 

Did you ever resolve this Tami Jay?

I have this SAME raster bitmap (mono B/W) background issue printing to Epilog EXT laser using X6 (std. license, NOT student/other) when no problem previously when sending to print from X5.

Sadly, I cannot access a copy of my former X5 workspace settings. With Epilog we engrave(print) using RGB (old RGB Adobe [1998]? I think) rather than CYMK, but can't recall other color settings.

No matter which color proof, mgmt and palette settings used, bitmaps in question are converted to BW mono dots like half-tone style, so this confuses me...

This very issue prompted my joining the Community here today.
I've been away from my "shop toys" for nearly a year due to J-O-B temp relocation, so please excuse improper lingo &/or posting etiquette from this "getting re/acquainted" newbie.

I'm still testing, but where the 'Off (None)' I found in X6 was.. Tools | Color Management | Default Settings
then.. on left side of Settings dialog box, find
--Color conversion settings-- Color engine: None
that 'None' seems to be the important OFF setting needed so far..

I've also made sure NOT to check box for 'Map gray to CMYK black' ..just in case
AND Do be sure 'Primary color mode' is *RGB* for all Epilog projects.

In the color management dialog at the top there is a drop down, in there is a preset that says simulate color management off. All the settings are in that preset.
