When using the TEXT tool or whenever I try to edit text, I consistently receive a runtime error. Error dialog box indicates:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:...\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5\Programs\CorelDRW.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Any idea on how to solve this?
I'm not sure if it will help, but you could try updating the vc++ runtime from http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5555
You could also try to see if it is related to one particular font, which might be defective.
I did the C++ runtime update. No luck. Changed default font. No luck.
It allows me to type but the minute I press the spacebar or try to exit Text mode it crashes.
Any fix yet? Having the same issue!
Hi Matt,
Mike fixed his issue by holding F8 on startup to reset the workspace.
Before you try this, would you mind backing up your workspace by copying the folder: "C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6". If F8 does solve the issue, it would be nice if I could get a copy of the workspace, I may be able to prevent this error in the future.
Regards,
Hendrik
F8 did not work same error. Only when using text
Its very easy to solve this problem, 1st go to any shortcut key you have done in the corel draw Options setting. 2nd if the file gives you the error again and again it means that the file needs to be saved in a different format, the best on Corel draw gives is CMX, try to the file in CMX format, and then open it, the problem will be solved.
