Hello~
I'm very frustrated. Draw keeps crashing on me. I'm using X6 with all updates installed. I have a new computer with 8GB RAM and OS Windows 7. I realize that Win 8 is being pushed as the "only valid" operating system. Could my preference for using Windows 7 be the cause of the crashing? Personally, I don't like Window 8 or do I like being forced to use a product I don't care for.
With that said, any suggestions to alleviate my frustration?
Thanks,
Patty
It's important to state when these crashes occur and can they easily be recreated.
Press F8 at program startup to reset workspace.
Rename the AppData folder by adding .new to the folder name.
Thank you both for your replies...
The crashing hapens when I use the artist media and pen tools. I'm working this horse. The mane is made of bitmap and artistic media brushes. Do you see a reason why this is happening based on the pic? I clean my computer's files often.
How is X7 working for you both?

What are the physical dimensions of the image? What are the rendering resolutions of your file? How much RAM? Does you system share video RAM with system RAM? Is this a desktop or laptop?
Desktop. Windows 7 Pro., Windows Experience Index. Intell Core i7-4770, CPU 3.40GHZ, 8.00 GB RAM, 1 T HD, 64-bit OS
8.5x11.0 1MB 300 Resolution
I'm not sure how about the system and video RAM. Not sure how to find that out.
Thanks~

If the video connector comes out of the main board there's a good chance that it shares memory with the system RAM. At the size and at 300 dpi you're using more like 50 megs of space if it was a flattened image but with all transparency it could be treble that. Shared video memory is awful for this type of application. Try reducing the files resolution.
Things seem to be going better. I lowered the resolution and maxed out the RAM.
Not being a computer wiz, I must ask what impact this will have on output of my files. Is there a place I can find this information pertaining to Corel?
I really appreciate all the help everyone has provided!

How will you output the file?
