Design sporadically changes some colors for no reason...

My design sporadically changes some of its colors when I move the design or power clip it.  It is pretty detailed paisley design with about six colors and one of the colors changes to black.  Sometimes, it changes to black only in the "saved jpeg" but not in the design.  Sometimes it changes in the design.  Why is this and how on Earth do I stop it from happening?  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when it happens, but it happens about 50% of the time I am working with it.  (The design was originally a vector pattern that I purchased and used the "Color Styles" tool to change the colors to my choices.)
