Hi,
Yesterday Coreldraw was working absolutely fine for me, but today, I have been having a few problems with my computer peripherals this morning when using Coreldraw. Not sure if it's related to Coreldraw or if it's actually a problem with my computer.
When using my mouse and keyboard shortcuts In Draw, it's sometimes failing to register double clicks and when keyboard keys are being held down. I was moving an object from the workspace into the page, held down "left click" to drag it, halfway to the objects desired destination, it dropped and the mouse picked up another object - without even releasing my finger from the clicker - bizarre!
It's only started happening today, so i'm not sure if it's the beginning of a peripheral failure or if there's a problem with Corel. I have F8'd it and still no change. Just slowing down productivity. I have reinstalled both drivers for the peripherals and still no change.
The keyboard/mouse seem to work fine in any other application, except Corel.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance.
I had some random left click issues the past few weeks, not just Draw but everything (win7 64bit). Last night 15 windows o/s updates came in and now my issue is gone.
I cannot duplicate what you see in Draw. Maybe video card updates are needed or a reg clean? You say you re installed peripherals but did you make sure they are the most current software?
Hello Rohan; What kind of mouse are you using, and driver?
George
Hi Bob, I will run a Windows Update later to see if it fixes anything. Not sure how I can check it's the most current software, I un-installed both completely and then it automatically installed the drivers. This was what I managed to find in the system...
Hi George, I'm using just a standard USB Dell Keyboard and Mouse.
windows update would hit that so if the update does not fix it: Look at your video card drivers and make sure they are up to date. Look in device mgr under display adapters right click your video card then then left click update drivers, you will see option to search the web for updates or go to your video card's website and look for current drivers.
Hello Rohan; If what Bob is saying doesn't work try loading a MS driver for the mouse.
