Edit Bitmap using Corel Photo Paint X6

When using Corel Draw X6, I like being able to click on a bitmap, selecting edit bitmap and being able to edit the image in Corel Photo Paint. The reason I am writing, somehow, I have turned off, un-clicked something and only a new Corel Draw window opens. Forced to open Corel Photo Paint and pasting the image to edit it.

It looks as if your windows file associations may be incorrect.

To fix this, find a .cpt file in windows explorer, right click on it and select "open with". Make sure the "always use..." box is checked and select photopaint X6 as the opener.

Thank you for the suggestion. I used the open with Default to make sure it is opened by Photo Paint, but the problem is within Corel Draw. When the mouse is permitted to hover over the Edit Bitmap button in the tool bar, the message is displayed correctly "Open Corel Photo Paint to Edit the Image". But instead another Corel Draw Window opens instead with the title of "untitled-1"

As a work around until I get this figured out, this is what I am having to do for a task that used to be simple.

If I want to edit any non vector image in Draw , I must use the tool bar Application Launcher for Photo Paint, select new, then return to Corel Draw, copy the image, return to Corel Photo Paint and paste, then I can actually now start the edit process. By the way, I also tried it using the drop down box after selecting Bitmap at the top and scrolling down to edit bitmap and get exactly the same results described above..
