I have not tried it, perhaps this macro will work

Oh. No not you Ram. What happened.
Also if you would like to use the built in file converter provided with X5 you can. Just make a small change in the frmFileConverter code..
Search for this line:
.AddItem Application.VersionMajor - 1
And add this line right under it:
.AddItem Application.VersionMajor - 2

A very unpardanable mistake i did that i saved all of my files to Corel X5 and now whatever the file i open it says out of memory, sometimes just by activating the OVERPRINT PREVIEW it hangs, and sometimes if paragraph linking is higher then it hangs, i really bother about coreldraw x5, and sometimes ( all the dialog number fields appeared to be active ) when i enter number it should not enter i have to select that field again and enter then it hangs..... oh my god its horrible..... i do not want coreldraw no more, i ll go for x3.
Yeah, I'm going back to X4 myself. Started out having little to no trouble with Draw X5 but now, many files I created with it will crash it. Can't get things done that way so tried saving a couple back to X4 and they work no problem.
When I have time I may try to pinpoint the issues in X5 but I'm currently more interested in just getting to what I'm working on.
It's kind of a bummer, there's a lot I like about X5 if only it wasn't so unstable for me.
Hi.
Just to throw a little something in to this topic.
I have never saved an X5 version file. I still save all files in version 12 format. I use X5 and it works well; not sure if this down saving has anything to do with it.
