Hi, I just reinstalled my Windows and am locked from activation because of maximum serial number submission limit. I only have CDGSX7 installed on two computers in total and currently am really angry about this policy. There's not always a chance to uninstall CDGSX7 to unregister it even if I knew that was a neccessity. I'm a loyal Corel customer since Corel Draw 6 (!), recently I upgraded X4-X6-X7, but after finding that Corel recommends the already generously paying customer should pay additional 20 dollars for a support ticket to get the activation limit reset, my blood pressure went dangerously high.
FYI Corel, other software companies don't count re-activations in this kind of limit, so one can re-install Windows for example on the same hardware endlessly and always get them activated.
I hereby kindly ask to reset my activation counter (my Corel account has the same e-mail address as this account) and to remove this non-sense from the next version (or next update). I get even angrier thinking about pirates cracking and enjoying the software uninterrupted, while I paid my hard earned dollars for it and the company I paid to is blocking me from using it. It may bear an idea whether I should keep spending here...
OK, no response so far. Corel on FB and Twitter promised support team will contact me, however that was 6 days ago. Maybe I should point out two obvious things: 1) It's perfectly legal in my country to crack the software to ensure it's expected functionality which I paid for. 2) I'm never ever buying anything else from Corel, although I planned to purchase Video Studio for my organisation in a couple of days. Pinnacle it is then. When I'm in the need or mood to upgrade Draw, I'll pay for CC despite the learning curve. There were times I was happy that Corel did not bankrupt and remained the only competition standing between Adobe and monopolizing the market. Unfortunatelly nowadays Corel is obviously a scam unable and unwilling to support paying customers not to mention bugs, constant crashes or Premium memberships, where a customer who already paid insane ammounts of money (especially in Europe) is forced to pay even more (especially in Europe) or be satisfied with outdated demo version of the software. Enough is enough.

They really need to make it possible to check how many activations we have used and also remove unused computers/installations.
Equally its quite easy to handle from start if only done correctly. Always be "signed in" when installing and uninstalling. That will see to that your install count is up to date. Now, I believe we can install on up to three (3) computers, so if you/we install on three computers, then thats three installs. Now if you have to uninstall for whatever reason, then just see to that you are "Signed in", and then start uninstall. Then when you reinstall again, you will be signed in. And the install/unijnstall count will be as it was before you started. Now, one can dislike or like this of course, but if done in this manner, then it will work just fine. What you Beban should do, is to call or email or chat with Corel directly via Corel.com about your problem with the install unistall counts. They might be able to fix the counts back, if you have done too many. Just talk to them. When it comes to Windows and limititations. Well there actually is a limit. DOnt remember which, but there is.
One usually does not uninstall when reinstalling Windows, since the systém became unusable or there were hardware failure. Yes, we can install on up to three computers, but I don't want anything more! I only had this version on two (!) computers, where I would like to reinstall. What the heck is activation good for if it's not able (or willing, since support is paid of course) to recognize re-activation on the same system? Please tell me now, where exactly is the option to email or chat with Corel directly for free? There's no support email address anywhere, attempts to contact support via web end up on "pay 20 dollars and we Will listen (once of course)", chat is always busy, I never reached an operator and phone overseas is of course out of the question. I contacted Corel via Facebook and Twitter and they promised me support staff Will contact me. That was six days ago, and I'm already fed up with their ignorance. There actually is a limit for Windows activations. It's not known in advance, you just have to make too much of them to look suspicious. Then the software forces you to activate over the phone. However you don't need to buy support tickets to do that and you call INSIDE your country, not overseas. Over the phone activation is always successfull of course. Or we may see Office 365. It's limited for 5 devices. The activation RECOGNIZES re-installs on the same device, so it automatically rewrites the older activation on the same device. Besides that one can mannualy de-activate any device at any time on the web to activate another one. Why do we have Corel accounts, if Corel were not able to provide us with the opportunity to de-activate a device? I'd say it's just to grab 20 dollars more to an already insanely overpriced (Corel products cost 2-2.5 times more in Europe than in USA) software.
