Hi Hugh, You're a genius. Thank you. It worked for *. CDR files. The thumbnails come up as *.BMP files. That probably explains why the X6 Shell Extension can display DRAW thumbnails even though the format of the image has changed. Would you happen to know how to get at the *.CPT thumbnails. Phil
