X7 After Update 4 - Laser Issues

After updating we are having issues making vector cuts on our laser. When making a box it no longer will cut the right side out. Also, when cutting out other shapes or letters it is leaving out random areas. It is not the laser as we have 2 and it does the exact same on both lasers. Anyone else having this issue and have a fix? Or is it somehow possible to get rid of the update?

Getting rid of the X7.4 update is possible, though slightly longwinded.

You would need to uninstall X7 from windows control panel, reinstall from your original DVD or download and then apply update 3 which is available temporarily in the downloads area.

Thanks. Actually began to do that just as I saw your reply. Was hoping we wouldn't have to as there are some nice features in the new update but you do what you gotta do.

There was some work done in the printing engine for Update 4 that might affect non-postscript printers. The support for Bezier curves was improved and it seems that some printer drivers (esp laser engravers) might have a hard time with Beziers. To remedy this:
- Go to Tools>Options>Global>Printing>Driver compatiblity
- Select the printer that is having a hard time from the drop down list at the top
- Turn off [ ] Send Beziers and paths to driver
- Click OK

This will tell CorelDRAW to send polylines to the driver instead of beziers, fixing the issue.

This is still and issue with CorelDraw X7 version 4. But before I read this blog I had been trying to resolve a vector cutting errors with an Epilog Fusion M2 with a Laptop computer running Windows 10. My tech rep guided me through the setup of going to Tools>Options>Global>Printing>Driver Compatibility and ensuring that the send beziers and paths to driver was turned on. This in turn caused vector errors and could be visually seen in the Epilog Job Manager print preview where you could visually see the file vectors totally scrambled up.

If beziers and paths to driver was turned off the Epilog Job Manager would be correct in the print preview and the laser job worked perfectly.

I stumbled on this corrective action by accident when I turned beziers and paths to driver to 'OFF'. and then I did a Google search and found this blog with the same issues.

I'm happy now and everything seems to be working fine.

I've been having issues with this and someone on a Facebook group mentioned to disable the 'send besiers & curves' for our old laser cutters. However I don't see the option anywhere in my version, is this due to me running CorelDRAW Home & Student X8? Is there any workaround for this?
