CorelDraw Graphics Suite X7 and Paintshop Pro X8

Ok so we got an InDesign CC2015 file with a linked layered TIF that needed fixed. Photoshop in various versions refused to open it seems that PS CC2015 has some issues. Photo-PAINT X7 as well as Paintshop Pro X8 opened the file with no issues thank goodness.

Hi David,
My Photopaint X6 can not SAVE or OPEN a layered TIF file. Neither can my PaintShopPro X7.
My Photoshop CS 5 can both SAVE and OPEN a layered TIF file.
Both Photopaint and PaintShopPro pretend that they are opening a layered TIF file but all that appears is the layer -- no background.

Photo-PAINT X7 can open a layered TIF file with layers intact but not save one.and Paintshop Pro X8 can open one, I don't know about saving one. Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 is having issues saving TIF files in a compatible manner with itself.

Hi David,
Take another look at what you have opened. That TIF file may be missing the background -- just like my versions of PhotoPaint and PaintShopPro.
Do you think that Adobe will take one year (repeat: one year) to clear that up.

I don't have to the background was a huge gradient, opened fine in PP and PSP, the jobs printed already. X7 and X8.
