I import a JPG into X7 and trace it using quick trace, but when I export it as an SVG, the image comes up in my IE browser and is all jumbled. It looks like a Picasso painting. :)
Is there a procedure I can read to get this correct? I will be using the SVG file in a craft cutting program (Cricut).
The thing with converting a raster image to another raster format, like png to jpg, they are similar and it is just a conversion. With raster to vector, like jpg to svg, it is more like a re-birth/reincarnation than a conversion that is not going to be similar in appearance as it's previous life. This is especially true for photo/photo-realistic images. Check out this video on the trace options: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mij9x2oeraY In the end, you just can not get photo-realistic output well in vector form.
