All of a sudden, for some reason, my FIT TEXT TO PATH tool is placing the text to the right of the path, rather than aligning the text right on the line like it normally does. Are there any known reasons for something like this? I've tried everything. I even cleaned my system, repaired X7 and started with a clean, fresh page. So, on that new page I drew an oval and a new line of all caps text. I selected the text and opened up the Fit Text To Path tool, and it worked perfectly! Yahoo... right!... but then I opened the working file, and when I tried the Fit Text To Path it still placed the text to the right of the oval path. I closed that working file, opened a new file again and tried it once more... and it's placing the text to the right of the oval path once again. What could be causing my Fit Text To Path to be off-setting like this? Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.... thanks Matt
Drag and drop works fine here every time, and the text is aligned to the top center of the ellipse. I wonder if the text is perhaps made vertical? Try this: Break the text and path apart (Ctrl+K), select the text and choose Straighten Text from the Text menu. What happens then?
