Corel Draw X7 crashes every time I try to open a file, I need help

I know my files can open, I have a Thinkpad that I can open Corel Draw X7 files.

I recently purchased a new computer, Win 10 Pro, 24 GB RAM, i5 quad core, dedicated video card and SSD.

I was able to open files with regular hard drive and Win 10 Home, I made 2 upgrades, SSD and Win 10 Pro and files crash every time I open. I have tried multiple files, same situation.

What can I do to resolve this issue, temp files are deleted and files work on laptop, I purchased desktop to get benefit of 2550X1440 resolution, faster quad core.

Can anyone shed light on this issue, I have open ticket with Corel, recently they reset my # of computers to have app installed, maybe this is causing the issue

Hello djncanada; Try cleaning out your Temp files. I had Windows 10 for a while and Corel worked fine just like it did with 7.....

Hi,

I have deleted the temp files on desktop as well, thank you for the reply.

Also, Corel has been very slow in dealing with the issue.

Last week, the account showed I had 5 devices, they cleaned it out, wonder, if they messed up account.

I have tried opening files using "evaluation" version , same problem.

It is very concerning since I have sold the laptop which is only device working with Corel, hope my new Surface Pro 4 will work

Hello djncanada; WHO cleaned out YOUR computer for you???? And how did they do it? And what devices were they? What brand of SSD drive? and what was the update for it? You can go in and delete the MS update if you want and if deleting it doesn't help you can always re install it.

I had exactly this problem until yesterday. I googled and tried everything to no avail.
I decided to uninstall and the unistall programme offered the possibility to repair so I took it. And there you are: it worked.
So my advise: go to control panel | unistall | Corel Graphic Suit | Repair

Hello djncanada; You can reset the program By With Corel CLOSED hold down the F8 key and start Corel. That will reset Corel to the Out Of The Box state for you.
