CorelDRAW X7 DWG import issue...

DWG import issue...

Hello,

I have big problem with importing DWG file. I have latest Corel X7 and when I import DWG file (2010, 2007 or 2004) it shows only a line .... nothing more. The DWG file has ca 230m of suspeected size. I import it with scale 1:10, or higher and still only line is drawn.....

When I select it and resize still cannot see it .... What should I do to properly import DWG file ? When I press enter, space or select import location again only line is shown.

What is more when I am making import I can resize it but I can only resize it to a line... Why?

I cannot view the DWG file in Corel. When I open DWG file in Autodesk DWG Trueview 2016 it opes perfectly and everything is ok (garden view).

Please help.

I don't deal with dwg files often, but to help you at least better understand what might be happening, be aware that dwg files don't support bezier curves but a different type of spline that Draw can't deal with. These splines are converted to polygons on import. 3d programs have a type of spline for 3d that 2d apps don't typically use. This is common in many vector 2d applications.

Is there another export options available like svg?

unfortunately i have only possibility to convert DWG files into other versions.... I have cad software but on other computer..... I will try it and try corel x4 maybe this will help..... I also see that it crashes but I will give it some time ..... still no solution ...

SOLVED. I contacted person knowing CAD and COREL that this maybe caused by CAD Student version.... some conversions to CAD full version and it works ;)
