Hi,
I am new on this forum so please let me know if I am posting this in the wrong category.
I have a problem with CDx7 not cropping my photo properly. What I am doing is creating a catalog for my small business and I have a master layer for all pages which is basically a grey background. I am using this grey background a guideline to all the photos I am going to be placing in the catalog. So as you can see in the video below, when I try to crop the photo according to the master layer, it doesn't only crop the right side, it also trims from the top. What am I doing wrong here? This method worked perfect for 20 something pages but now it doesn't.
Thank you for your help.
I forgot the name of a thing, what I called a ribbon, I meant to refer to the property bar and unfortunately - no aspect button to uncheck there anyway. I noticed in your video, 2 suspicious dots under your picture as if there is more there than what is showing. Although I can't explain why something stopped working for you I found out that you can crop bitmaps with the shape tool which is the button right above the crop tool. I hope this helps - good luck!
One last thought before you try the shape tool, click on the view menu and choose wireframe view. Sometimes this reveals things that were invisible in normal or enhanced view. I suspect there is another object on the same page, maybe a different layer that once you cropped the image was auto centered which ended up nipping your intended image.
