Confused after upgrade

I am now using CorelDRAWX8 I used to be able to edit a bitmap from draw it would open up paint then i could make my changes save and it would be back in draw now the edit bitmap button is not active how can I fix this even if I right click is does not give me the option to edit the bitmap please help thanks Deb

Is this the full version or student? You did install Photo-PAINT correct?

X8 is the last version of CorelDRAW installed X8?

I originally had a very old CorelDraw/Paint X4 and just recently well maybe a year ago upgraded and kept both on computer but I was having issue with 4 so deleted in I still have disc for that...It says it is full version and yes I have paint installed I only started having this issue when i deleted the old one...I just dont get it. Some of the tools in 4 stopped working or were over ridden and some things are just so different in 8 I see others having many issues...what can you suggest? should i reinstall 4? please reply thanks Deb

The only other things is my version says not for commercial use but I do'nt think that should matter?
I can take a screenshot of the window but do not see how to attach a photo

Ok since you asked about that I am using Paint everyday on my computer but when I went and looked in programs in contol panel I do not see it only Draw???is that right???

If it's not for commercial use its most likely the home student version, if it is I can't help as I don't have it. In the control panel it should say CorelDraw Graphics site. BTW Paint is a different program in Windows Photo-PAINT is the Corel Product.
